Many of our youth (and adults alike) are struggling with mental health concerns and issues at an all-time high. A lot of times these issues and concerns aren’t being addressed, are being overlooked, and in some cases ignored. Our adolescent and young adult suicide rates are at an all-time high (Suicides are at an all-time high across the board). Due to the lack of attention and concern on a child’s mental health stability, our youth are having a more challenging time than ever with good academic performance and displaying positive and appropriate behavior in the classroom as well as in their everyday life. With the growing pressures of social media and fitting in with the culture our young people’s value, worth, and identity is under heavy attack.
These workshops are designed to raise awareness to the importance of mental health on a young people’s well-being, behavior, academic outcomes, and sense of morality and esteem. These programs and workshops are built to help young develop healthy attachments, positive cognition, and enhance their self-regulation which all play a major role in their wholistic growth.
Our youth today are really struggling with feeling accepted and having a true sense of belonging. With suicide amongst our youth being at an all-time high and with social media seeming to be the standard for acceptance. Our youth are struggling with feeling a sense of support, strong self-confidence, and even a desire to just live. It is time that we start addressing those issues that are leading to our youth feeling like they’re alone in this world, misunderstood, not valued, and not heard. There is a missing link when it comes to suicide prevention, and that link is the inclusion of Christ, who we are in God’s eyes, and His value on our lives. Our youth are bombarded with a bunch of self-defeating standards through the different media outlets that pressure them to fit in with something that doesn’t agree with their God-given uniqueness. This then leads to those feelings of hopelessness, self-medicating, depression, and low self-worth and identity. It’s time that we give our youth that missing link, Christ so they can understand the true value of life, their place in His plan, and that the quality of life comes from God, His Word, and not the world.
This workshop is one that focuses on helping young people see that who they are is valuable, can be loved, and is better than good enough. Our youth are pressured to fit in, in a way that goes against their uniqueness, morals and beliefs, and even what is best for them to grow the right way. Its important that we teach our young people how to embrace who they are, and how to develop in a way that doesn’t allow culture to take away from their God-given uniqueness.
This is a comforting and honest workshop to ensure that our young people know they’re not alone and do have positive support and people willing to help them lead a better life, become a better person, and feel a sense of acceptance and belonging.
This a bold and informational workshop to encourage and enlighten youth on the dangers and destructive behavior and outcomes that alcohol and drugs can lead to. In today’s culture alcohol and drugs seem to be the norm, but it should not be your norm. We live in a culture that says it is okay, but just because the culture says it’s okay doesn’t mean that it is. It is time that we get back to biblical principles when it comes to drugs and alcohol, and how the Bible emphasizes being sober-minded, and speaks against drunkenness. This workshop is designed to help young people understand the dangers and negative effects of alcohol and drugs, and the traps the enemy sets within our culture when it comes to the acceptance, perception, and worldly outlook on alcohol and drugs.
Trauma is a big issue in the mental health world today, but we have to a go little deeper. The traumatic experiences that young (and adults) people have gone through needs more than just a mental health approach. This workshop does just that. We combine a unique approach that addresses trauma from a mental health approach, while also including Biblical doctrine to help restore and help make people whole. The truth is, true healing only comes from God through Jesus Christ, and if we don’t apply that to our mental health approach especially in dealing with trauma, we aren’t giving people what they truly need to overcome their trauma.
We will shape a workshop unique to you and your group. We are capable to address anything dealing with the brain and any topic within mental health. We are also equipped to address the mindset and mental concerns, issues, and traumas from a Biblical perspective. Just let us know what you need, and we will design it special for you.
